lol we got spanked by mexico

Nah, losing 2-0 to a team ranked 15 in the world ain't bad, and the All Whites were missing their first choice central defensive partnership. Add to that, Carlos Vela's goal could have been disallowed for a foul, and it was a good night's work for the boys. O0

And yer, go Phoenix! One game away from the Grand Final. That would really upset the Aussies if the Kiwis won 'their' league. ;D

So a Spurs fan thought he'd be funny this morning and tell me that Bendtner wears the number 52 cos that's the number of chances he needs to score a goal.

I very much doubt he had 156 chances against Porto! :rockon

No wonder portsmouth are in a bad way,the sack 85 members of staff, not one of them a player. How many people do they need to employ!?

I'm struggling to understand why David James wasn't allowed to pay two staff members out of his pay. :-\

Wellington Phoenix controversially dumped out of the A-League play-offs. Another controversial handball goal. :(

Everton 2-0 Bolton

I felt like walking out of Goodison and demanding a refund on my ticket at half time, we had played that poor. But whatever Moyesey said at half time seemed to do the trick. :) :rockon

2-0 win over the Hammers, maybe I was wearing Arsene's rose-tinted spectacles, but Vermaelen's red was a little harsh. :-\

Roberto Mancini has apologised for his touchline bust-up with Everton counterpart David Moyes during Manchester City's 2-0 defeat at Eastlands.  ::)

The pair were embroiled in an angry confrontation on the touchline as Mancini tried to wrestle the ball from Moyes, feeling the Everton boss was trying to waste time.

Fourth official Howard Webb needed to intervene and referee Peter Walton sent both managers to the stand. :-\

Mancini has played down the incident and he revealed he has apolgised to Moyes for the unsavoury episode.

"I speak to David and if I make a mistake I am sorry," said Mancini. "I only wanted to get the ball back as there was five minutes to the end."

"It is not imporant, it is finished."

Mancini does believe the clash warrants an investigation with both managers possibly facing bans if the FA decides to look into incident. :-\ ???

"It was nothing, it is finished," added Mancini. The referee sent us off. I am not aggressive, I was only trying to get the ball."

Moyes was also unhappy at Mancini for waving imaginary yellow cards at the referee everytime one of his players were fouled. ::) >:(

The Italian did not know he was doing anything wrong in making the gesture and has vowed to stop doing it. ::)

Asked about waving for yellow cards, he said: "Probably it can happen sometimes, I don't know. Next time I don't do it."

Mancini was left frustrated as he saw his side fail to move into fourth spot and he felt his side did not deserve to lose the game.

"I am frustrated for the players, as for me they play a good game," he said. :-\

"It can happen sometimes, you cannot score a goal sometimes it is impossible and this night it was impossible.

"It was a difficult game because Everton is a good squad, but we didnt deserve to lose this game."

"I am frustrated for the supporters, for the players, but this is football."

Despite the defeat - their first at Eastlands this season - Mancini is confident they can go on to clinch fourth spot. ;D

"I think we are a good team and if we believe in ourselves we can get the fourth place."
